Everyone is aware of YouTube. We are passed the point of wondering if people watch videos online and now to the point of how does a business utilize this medium to advertise or promote their products. The best example as of late is www.WillItBlend.com from the folks at BlendTec Blenders. Did you know that these videos quickly resulted in more sales in a weekend than in a previous month? That’s good for any business!

So creating a viral video isn’t something that happens every day. And that’s ok. It is important to showcase your passion for your business and it’s hard to imagine a better way than video to really highlight your knowledge, your business, your in depth understanding of your industry. Going back to the Will It Blend example, this was started with a simple video camera and an upload to YouTube. No fancy editing, no fancy sound work, no fancy camera work. That’s all you need to get started.

Now that you’ve created a video walking around your office or showing the inside of the golfballs you sell or teaching the steps of performing an oil change on a semi-truck (assuming they get oil changes), you need to get the word out to the video sharing sites about your video. Insert TubeMogul. Did you know about: Viddler? or Veoh? or DailyMotion? That’s ok, TubeMogul let’s you upload your video and with the push of a button send it to all the video sharing sites on the internet (I’m sure they are missing a few but you get the point). It helps to take the pain out of sharing your video.

By using TubeMogul and posting videos on your website you are allowing potential customers the opportunity to really get to know your business and experience who you are and what you represent. Now go sell something with a video!!
